100% of the proceeds through March 15th, 2014 will be donated to H.E.R.O. (Human and Equal Rights Organizers) in Phoenix, AZ, which is fighting to keep this bill from becoming law as well as fighting for full LGBT equality in Arizona.

I couldn't take it. I had to write this song and put it out there. I urge everyone to take it seriously. Bills like this could easily find its way across our country. Let's stop it now and continue our fight for our freedom to live as ordinary citizens with equal rights under the law.

In just a few short hours I wrote "Not Going Anywhere Tonight", a soulful musical message to the Arizona Legislature. Within three days I recorded it with acclaimed DJ Alex Harrington and shot this video to get this message out while on tour.

"You can try to kick me out, but you can't force me back in
the way you're treating me and my friends, honey I call that sin
You want this land for your own, as if you grew right from the trees
but you can't silence those who you think pose,
a threat to faith or greed
What's been stolen can't be claimed
What's been written can't be used to tame.

You want my money when you're broke
You want my help when you're in need
but when the world is looking up on you
you're looking down on me
You can refuse to serve my kin
but don't fool yourself on why you did
Passing bills for bigotry
Arizona, are you f-in kidding me?

I can run pretty fast
I can drive all night long
with a big ol' pile of money
I can fly from here to Rome
But I never asked for trouble
in Jesus' name you wanna fight
you choose to hate I choice I never made
so I'm not going anywhere tonight.

You can try to kick me out but you can't force me back in
there's not a closet big enough to hold all those that you offend
passing bills retaliate
against those you try to hide to hate
remember like a two way street
i refuse to go quietly

I can run pretty fast
I can drive all night long
with a big ol' pile of money
I can fly from here to Rome
But I never asked for trouble
in Jesus' name you wanna fight
you choose to hate I choice I never made
so I'm not going anywhere tonight."
